How to make your Faith work (Part 2)

Matthew 9:20-22
And Behold, a woman which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him and touched the hem of his garment. For she said within herself if I may but touch the hem of His garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned Him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

This woman with the issue of blood had bled for 12 years and it was not without medical treatments. According to the account of Luke, she had suffered alot from physicians all in the bid to get a solution, she probably had been scammed on a number of occasions and here comes a man who shows up healing the sick, raising the dead and doing all sorts of miracle, she says to herself if I can touch Him I know I’ll be fine.
Making this statement with so much faith in Jesus’ ability to heal her could only have come from the stories she heard about what He was doing.
She probably had a neighbor who was healed by Jesus or a friend who was healed by Jesus or a relative healed by Jesus and all of them told her one thing we have seen him heal many diseases at no cost and we also have been healed, all you need do is believe He is able to do it.

All the information she received about Jesus helped her faith rise and she said to herself if I can touch his garment, I’ll be well. This emphasizes what we hear as children of God, it can advance the miraculous power of Jesus in our lives. We must guard what we hear from the Lord for it has the power to produce fruits in our lives.
Don’t joke with what the Lord tells you or faith-filled words that is being contacted by association for it has the power to bear fruits. The woman with the issue of blood received her healing through faith in Jesus’ healing that she heard of.
Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God. Hearing is a continous tense, so it simply means it’s a forever thing, you never stop hearing.

Here’s how to make your faith work; Be deliberate about hearing faith-filled word or stories.

You are blessed!💕

How to Make your Faith work

Matthew 9:23-25
[23]And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
[24]He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
[25]But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

What you hear and the atmosphere you are in has a strong role to play in the miraculous you experience in your life, family and nation. The emphasis in this scripture is Jesus sending everyone who came to mourn the death of the ruler’s maid out by saying Give place, at first hearing it might have seemed like Jesus was so not kind to the people for asking them to leave but on a second hearing or thought, Jesus was actually guarding what he was hearing and the atmosphere or presence He carried.
It’d have seemed like Jesus was protecting his heart against unbelief.

Your faith in God is so precious and truth be told the devil isn’t glad you have faith in Jesus, he looks for every means to bring you to a point of unbelief and distrust in God’s miraculous power, if he can’t talk you into unbelief, he’d use people, voices that are so powerful in your life, situations and circumstances to talk you into it. You must choose by the help of the Holy Spirit to shut out these voices that make your faith down. You might need to stop relating with some certain persons in your life about the issues you are going through, some of them hear and only worsen matters thereby affecting your Faith walk.
What you hear is so powerful, it can have a positive or negative effect on you in your walk with God. It determines your progress. The miraculous was already activated in the life of the maid of the ruler but for full manifestation Jesus sent them all out and immediately they left, she woke up.
You’d need to put away certain association and atmosphere just to protect your faith in God, just to guard the prophetic word that has been said over you.

So here is how to make your Faith work; Have the right spiritual association.

We pray this blesses You!💕

Jesus knows what you need.

In Matthew 9:2, A man was brought to Jesus by his friends, he could neither walk nor move his legs and was lying on a mat. Jesus took a look at his friends who brought the man to him and He could tell that they truly believed in Him. Note that it wasn’t the man on the mat who had the illness that believed in Him but his friends.

Jesus goes on to say, “Do not be afraid my friend, I forgive you for the wrong things you’ve done” (Easy to read Version). This statement made by Jesus caused an uproar and opposition amongst the Teachers of the law, they said who does He think he is? Is he trying to say he has power to forgive? Mortal Man that is like us, when we ourselves who have been deep in the law of Moses have not even assumed the position of God, this man is saying he forgives sins. A lot was going on in their minds and Jesus knew it

Jesus a man of wisdom responded appropriately to them in verse 4 and 5. knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.

One thing stands out in this scripture, Jesus knew what that man needed and wasn’t about to just give quick fixes but to deal with the root. Jesus knew this man had been cringing under the weight of sin, he was afraid that nemesis was catching up with him for all of his past wrongs so if He (Jesus) had just said to Him “Rise up and be healed”, tendencies are the devil would come again with condemning thoughts because of His past and because there is already a satanic opening because of the wrongs.

Jesus needed to give him a greater revelation to confront the devil with or else the devil will push him in such a way that might ruin his precious destiny in Christ Jesus.

Another thing that stands out in this scripture is to never expect that people will always know and understand your need like Jesus. The teachers of the law expected Jesus to only heal this man probably but they didn’t know that he needed more than Just being healed, he needed mercy and grace.

Could it be that you feel you know what you need in that life’s challenging situation but you honestly don’t know? Could it be that you have been cringing under the weight of guilt and shame but all you think you claim you need are ephemeral stuffs to make you forget the past? Could it be that you need a greater revelation to navigate a particular challenge from its roots and not quick fixes?

Man’s greatest need was love, it was forgiveness from all of the weight we bore because of our wrong choices and that’s why Jesus came and shed His precious blood on Calvary’s tree for us. He saw our need and He still sees our need.

He calls you to leave the devil’s coven to dine with Him at His table, He beckons through salvation for if any man be in Christ He is a new creature, old things have passed and behold all things are new! 2 Corinthians 5:17. This is where your rising comes from. That man went double sure He was forgiven, free in Jesus, free to live without the fear of condemnation forever, free to move

He wants you to surrender over and over again as His own, saying Lord you know what I need, let your light shine upon my heart so that I’d know too and be divinely aligned. Grant me a greater revelation that silences every need that I do not know I have.

Remember that in the light of His face, all our questions fade away because He meets what He knows is our need.

God bless You!

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;

Dearest Jesus I thank you for your death, burial and resurrection, you did all of this for me. I know I have lived my life without you in it but today I surrender all to you, forgive my sins and take over my life. Thank You for Your LOVE towards me Jesus. In Jesus name. Welcome to God’s family!

Do not grow weary!

Labour comes in many form in the kingdom, it could be in the Word (1 Timothy 5:17), in all kinds of Prayer (Colossians 4:12), in Planting, in Ministering to the needs of others and so on but what makes it rise as a sweet smelling savour to God is when it is done out of love. God can not take his eyes off labour that is done out of love, He is not unjust to even to forget. Every labour done in love is before God’s face and He can’t forget what He is always seeing.

I stumbled on a post by a dear brother and it blessed me a great deal in fact it encouraged me a lot, it is a song written and performed by The Porter’s Gate telling about the truth that our labour is not in vain. While I saw this video, I imagined a number of us are in the season of continuous sowing and sometimes it feels like there isn’t going to be any yield.

This week we want to encourage you not to be weary in well doing and I would love to share with you the lyrics of the song;

[Verse 1]
Your labor is not in vain
Though the ground underneath you is cursed and stained
Your planting and reaping are never the same
Your labor is not in vain

[Verse 2]
Your labor is not unknown
Though the rocks they cry out and the sea it may groan
The place of your toil may not seem like a home
But Your labor is not unknown

[Chorus]
I am with you, I am with you
I am with you, I am with you
For I have called you, called you by name
Your labor is not in vain

[Verse 3]
The vineyards you plant will bear fruit
The fields will sing out and rejoice with the truth
For all that is old will at last be made new
The vineyards you plant will bear fruit

[Chorus]
I am with you, I am with you
I am with you, I am with you
For I have called you, called you by name
Your labor is not in vain

For God, the Faithful One, is not unfair. How can he forget the work you have done for him? He remembers the love you demonstrate as you continually serve his beloved ones for the glory of his name. Hebrews 6:10

Do not quit labouring in love, God has not forgotten you!

You can listen to the song here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPj3Kf7Dorw

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;

Jesus wants to Heal you.

Healing is the children’s bread.
The leper in the book of Matthew 8:1-4 met Jesus,he had a conversation in his mind prior to meeting him (Jesus).
He’s like this man is a big man ooo, see the crowd following Him, would he have time to minister healing to me a low life, one who has been sent out from the midst of persons who are in health. He was thinking with Jesus’ high pedigree, he might not want to respond to him.

He didn’t know that Jesus isn’t man who would judge you by the way you look or by your predicament and decide to or not to respond to you, so he says dear Jesus ‘If you are willing, Please heal me’. That was a statement from someone who wasn’t sure if dear Jesus was willing to heal him because of the disability he had but here was the response of Jesus ‘I am willing’. It felt like Jesus was saying I am not second guessing whether I’m sure I want to heal you because I truly want to heal you, I have not come for those who are in health but for those who are sick, those in need of a physician, those who are broken and in need of help

I feel like many of us are like this Leper in Matthew 8, we are not sure if Jesus wants to heal us of that pain which might be in our body, our minds, our hearts. We feel like Jesus will turn us down so we say things like ‘I’m not sure He’ll answer me’ but Jesus is here saying I am willing to heal you, I do not feel coerced when it comes to healing you of all the pain, I love doing it and I want to do it over and over again.

You can lean on the one who heals, He won’t turn you down and He’s not even planning to turn you down.

We speak health this moment to everyone in need of healing in their body, soul and spirit in the name of Jesus..

For those who have been holding on to certain wounds, we pray for healing over you in the name of Jesus.

There is a Balm in Gilead and He’s Jesus!

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;

The Parable of being Still

The Parable of the seed that is sown into the earth embodies the process that we all go through in life. You sow into the earth or you plant a seed however small you might think it is and you are expectant that the seed will yet become a tree or become a bountiful harvest but in between is a heart that is most times anxious, wanting to work his way himself.

Then He said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who throws seed on the ground; and he goes to bed at night and gets up every day, and [in the meantime] the seed sprouts and grows; how [it does this], he does not know.  The earth produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head [of grain], then the mature grain in the head. But when the crop ripens, he immediately puts in the sickle [to reap], because [the time for] the harvest has come.” Mark 4:26-29 Amplified Version.

What happens between the time of sowing and harvesting is very important to God, in fact much more important than the harvest that we await. Note that the farmer planted the seed into the earth and he went about his daily activities which is watering it, making sure it is well exposed to sunlight and all, he wasn’t going to uproot what he has planted because he felt it wasn’t sprouting yet which is what many of us do.

He waited, the earth produced the crops by itself, he didn’t have to force it to produce and the produce happened gradually, the blade first then the head of the grain and so on until it was finally time for the harvest.

God gives us a seed vision or idea and anxiety makes us go often to “uproot” instead of allowing process have its way. Instead of watering it with God’s word, prayers, giving thanks as we see the seemingly little progress and following instructions from the Holy Spirit.

In between the season of planting and harvest is time and it can not be escaped at all. As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest…will not cease Genesis 8:22. Whatever the Lord has placed in your hand, give it time.

Giving it time means you must take a posture of stillness, don’t go about cutting corners or trying to link your way into events, people and things. Don’t try to announce your harvest when its not time, you might not be able to manage it and it might crush you.

Be still and know that God is God. Psalms 46. Don’t work your way yourself, God’s word says its not in man to direct himself. Jeremiah 10:23.

Plant whatever God has given you, consistently water it with the word, Prayer (Pray more in tongues), thanksgiving and following every instructions that comes.

God has not forgotten you and in due season your season of harvest will come.

May the Lord strengthen the hearts of as many who are fainting in waiting for their season of Harvest in Jesus name. Amen!

You are not alone!

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;

Has your Vision been blurred by Pain?

One of the most precious gifts that any man can have in life is the gift of seeing right, seeing as the Father sees. Why? Because it helps you focus on that which the Father majors on and minor on what He minors.

What happens when your heart and eyes are blurred by the pain of the current season you are in? One thing God wants to help you and I do, is to see correctly when pain knocks hard.

At Gethsemane, Jesus bared out His heart to the Father, pouring out the anguish and pain of his soul. He prays 3 times for long, just pouring out His heart before the Father and at every point He says “If You will, let this cup pass over me but nevertheless not as I will but as You will Lord”. You will think this was easy for Him to say because He was the son of God until you are down in similar situation.

While He prayed, he knew the pain wasn’t going to get any easier or better but there was something that he saw that made him say “you know what I’m doing this, come what may”.

Fast forward to the Cross, this same man was called all sorts of name, he was despised, afflicted, name it but He knew it was for the best, it was for the Salvation of humanity. He remembered you and I and said I’m going to damn the shame and do this!

Notice that at all this points, he was seeing correctly just as the Father would see not allowing pain to blur His vision because to be honest pain can blur anyone’s vision. In such moments or season, you begin to yearn for the nearest escape route, you are pressured on all sides and most times feel alone.

God’s word tells us that our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory 2 Corinthians 4:17

Friends! When you walk through such season of pain, in fact when you sense such seasons near, Pray! Pray!! Pray!!! Ask God to help you see correctly what He’s doing in that season of your life, Ask him to help you respond correctly. I’m telling You God answers and I am a living testament to it.

Be encouraged! Your season of Refreshing is here!

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;

Where do you seek answers?

This sounds cliche right? but isn’t it important that we examine what influences the decisions we make in this age and time. One of the most frustrating points to find yourself in is having the need for answers and not knowing where to find them or not be willing to pay the price to find these answers.

In such moments, many have sought answers in the wrong places that have cost them their lives and glorious destiny or even their loved ones.

Let’s examine scriptures, the book of Isaiah 8:19 addresses this and gives and answer to where to find answers, So why are you trying to find out the future by consulting witches and mediums? Don’t listen to their whisperings and mutterings. Can the living find out the future from the dead? Why not ask your God? Isaiah 8:19 (TLB)

This scripture gives us an answer of where to find answers in a day and age where everyone seeks answer on the media which is good if they are contents that edify your spirit man but the media should never be the first option. In God’s presence we get answers of peace to every troubling questions that life asks you.

We must bear in mind that Jesus gives the answers that we seek to questions that life asks us, to issues that challenges our faith and makes us feel like giving up. Herbalists, fortune tellers, drugs and what have you do not give us an answer of peace, whatever chills it gives is only temporary and bound to make one feel depressed.

This week and always, receive wisdom to seek the answers right in His presence. We challenge you to ask God! Stay in prayer! Stay in the Word!

The Lord grant you an answer of peace as You seek Him for answers in the name of Jesus.

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;

Joy of Many generations 2

Delighted by the king’s gesture, and having a desire to impress them, Hezekiah welcomed the envoys from Babylon and opened the doors of the king’s storehouses of treasures and showed them to the envoys. He let them see all of his gold, silver, spices, and costly fragrant oils, as well as his entire armory. All of the king’s royal treasures, all that was in the king’s palace, and all the wealth of his whole kingdom was shown to them.

 Then Isaiah the prophet visited the king and said to him, “What have you done? What did these men say and where did they come from?” Hezekiah replied, “They are envoys from distant Babylon.”

Then Isaiah asked, “What did they see in your palace?” “They have seen everything in my palace,” responded Hezekiah. “I showed them everything in my royal treasuries.” Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Here is what Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, has to say to you: ‘The days are coming when all the treasures in your palace and all the wealth that your ancestors have stored up until this day will be carried off to Babylon; absolutely nothing will be left,’ says the Lord. ’Some of your own sons who come after you will be deported, be castrated, and become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.’Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word Yahweh has spoken through you is good and right.” For he thought, “At least for me, there will be peace and security in my lifetime.” (Isaiah 39:2-8)

The emphasis on this week’s post is the last part of the scripture. Hezekiah thought to himself that there will be peace in his own time, so whatever happened after he has left the face of the earth to the incoming generation did not matter to him. This really is a selfish heart, we must understand that the reason why this word from the Lord came as regards the intended doom of God’s people was because King Hezekiah opened up his everything to the Babylon, why because they showed him kind gestures by coming to see him when they found he was ill.

In his excitement and being pleased, he opened up priceless treasures to the enemy. All of a sudden, he was saying it didn’t matter as long as it didn’t happen in his lifetime.

Friends! we have not been called to live for ourselves and that’s why we can not just do anything, there is a demand of heaven upon us to the things that pleases the Father because it is beyond us, it is about countless generations to come.

Just as One man’s disobedience opened the door for all humanity to become sinners. So also one man’s obedience opened the door for many to be made perfectly right with God and acceptable to him. Romans 5:19. It simply tells us that what we do can has a huge impact on the unborn generation.

Let it be that the unborn generation remembers us and calls us blessed. This is what it is to be a joy of many generations. As many more generations come, let it be that they will feel so blessed to be part of a rich and Godly heritage.

The Lord help us all in JESUS name. Amen

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;

Joy of Many Generations 1

Although once you were rejected and despised, undesirable for anyone to pass through you,I will make you majestic forever, a source of joy for every generation. Isaiah 60:15 (TPT)

Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. Isaiah 60:15 (KJV)

Whereas you have been forsaken and hated With no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, A joy from generation to generation. Isaiah 60:15 (NASB)

God is a Father who wants to show forth His children to the world but He first wants to make His children. It is very easy to ignore the “make” in this scripture and move to the beautiful part of being an eternal excellence and the joy of many generations but we never enter into this dimension if He doesn’t take us through the process even though it is ours, it is just like a child who owns an inheritance but because he is still a child, because he has not grown to the point of handling it can’t lay hold of the inheritance. Galatians 4:1

God is like an artist who makes a work of art and knows its not time to make a public display of His work because He’s not yet done. God is painting our lives and until He is done, He won’t show us to the world. When He is done, He would like an artist make a show of you because He is so proud of the work He has done in you.

We must never despise the making process, allow God beat and blow away the chaff so that the impact He’d make through you would linger for generations.

He’d lead you in the path of righteousness for His name sake because that is part of the plan, the making process. (Psalms 23:3) The process is never easy per say but we’d appreciate what He has done in us later on.

Today, decide that you will submit to His making process so you can become this eternal excellence and joy of many generations not just this generation alone.

We pray God to strengthen you to go through the process in Jesus name. Amen

We invite you to journey with the Lord Jesus as you ask Him to take rest in your heart by saying this prayer;
